Kia ora koutou,

Ko Dani Clements-Levi toku ingoa and I am privileged to be your President of the AUT Law Students’ Society for 2022. I am in my fifth year of my Bachelor of Law (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts majoring in Social Sciences. During my time at law school, I have experienced first-hand the importance of feeling part of a community whilst studying. Now more than ever during these challenging times it is vital for students to feel engaged in their studies. My primary goal for 2022, is to enhance the experience of law school both socially and academically for all our AUT students. AUTLSS aims to develop a supportive culture, comradery and exposure to opportunities. I also have a particular interest in fostering inclusivity and representation of our students, to ensure AUTLSS is representative of all our members at both City and South Campuses.

The President plays an integral role in developing the vision and direction for AUTLSS, whilst supporting each Executive Portfolio. As the President, I represent AUTLSS and its members at a national level; and ensure that the views and interests of our students are at the forefront of all our decisions. I advocate for students, facilitating communication between law students, and the Law Faculty, NZLSA, AUTSA and the wider legal community. I also foster and maintain relationships with our Sponsors. AUTLSS strives to enrich your student experience, through educational workshops, job opportunities, competitions, social events, well-being initiates and much more!

A fun fact about me is that I have been to Mt Everest Base Camp!

If you have any questions or would like to get in touch, please do not hesitate to contact me at I always enjoy a good yarn- so I look forward to seeing you around campus!
