I’m Em (she/they).

 

My parents moved here from Taiwan and I grew up near the maunga - Ōhinerau.

 

I’ve got a BSc in geology and stats up my sleeve. Did heaps of human geography too. That brought me into the policy space at the Ministry of Justice in Wellington. Learnt a lot that year! Including how direly lacking my law knowledge is so here we are - doing the certificate in legal studies to start.

 

Wellness to me is tied to diversity, equity, community building.

In order to thrive in our full authentic selves, we need to create the physical and emotional spaces to do so!

That’s the sort of approach I’m taking to in being the AUTLSS Wellness Officer for this year.
