As a Social Officer for AUTLSS, I focus on creating a sense of community within the law school and making sure students have opportunities to connect outside of their studies. Law can be demanding, so I think it is important that there are spaces where people can step away from the pressure, meet others, and enjoy being part of AUTLSS.

 

I work closely with the other Social Officer, the Wellness Officer, and the wider Executive to organise a range of events across the year. This includes key events such as Orientation, Law Ball, and other social functions throughout the semester. The role is very collaborative, and a lot of the value comes from working together to make sure events run well and feel welcoming to everyone.

 

I am particularly focused on ensuring events are inclusive and accessible, with a balance of different formats and price points so that all students feel comfortable getting involved. Ultimately, my goal is to help create an environment where people feel connected, supported, and able to enjoy their time studying law.
