My name is Sophia, and I am the 2025 Junior Officer for AUTLSS.

 

It is beyond a privilege to be taking on this role this year to further assist Part 1 and 2 students in their law school endeavors and successes!

 

Before coming to AUT I was 2 and a half years into my psychology degree at another University in which I took Law in the first year, completely uninspired by the teaching style I continued with my Psychology degree up until 2023 where I induced concussion and had to delay my studies.

 

After looking at old journals from my childhood I found an entry I made when I was 7 years old back in the UK (where I grew up) talking about all the people I would help when I became a lawyer and how I couldn’t wait to be in a position where I could genuinely help people. After that I thought about my future for the millionth time and decided that I wanted to do law, as was the plan my whole life but I didn’t want to do it at the previous University. I came to AUT Law School in pursuit of likeminded inspiration and passion for the law and I am glad to say I found it.

 

With this, it is my mission to relay these passions and inspirations to the 2025 Part 1 Students and lending a hand wherever I can so that 2025 is THE year to beat.
